After growing up next door to Jodi Sanderholm, Angela Daffron felt the need to make a change after Jodi’s tragic death. At the time, Angela considered stalking something that only happened to celebrities; however, after long hours of research she discovered it was a much more of a wide spread problem affecting more than 3.4 million people in the United States each year.
With very little being done to educate the public and virtually no resources for victims Angela set out to raise awareness and help victims. Beginning with Jodi’s Law, Angela successfully lobbied for legislative change in two states before deciding the public awareness was key to real change. In 2010, Angela launched Jodi’s Voice as service to victims and dedicated to building awareness.
After becoming a stalking advocate Angela became the victim of a stalker. You can read about her experience here.
